About Chris Youd
Chris Youd gained his love of music photography from spending 20 years writing music and performing in bands. He shot his first gig in 2005 (The Trojans, at a benefit gig for a friend, in case you were curious), and from that moment he knew that he had found his niche. Chris has shot a diverse range of artists such as Iggy Pop, Siouxsie, Heaven 17, Jarvis Cocker, Spandau Ballet, Goldfrapp and Echo & the Bunnymen, but can frequently be found in dingy London music basements shooting up-and-coming acts (usually grumbling about 'fucking LED lighting!').
